Clayton is a first generation Quarter Midget driver. Only after he started in QM’s did he learn that his grandfather used to drag race, while his great grandfather used to race Fords on dirt in Pennsylvania. When Clayton was 3 he would take his power wheels off roading and always wanted to be behind the wheel. He started go karting for fun when he was 7. On his first race he pulled the fastest lap time of the day at 25.203 and won the race. That day solidified his love of driving and desire to learn more.
Clayton turned 8 during his rookie year of Quarter Midgets. After having success in red and blue rookie he finished off the year in Jr. Honda knowing that the following year he would be pushed into the seniors. 2022 was a year of learning for everyone as Clayton stepped up not only to Senior Honda, but to Senior Animal and Light 160 as well. He competed in both the Northeast Dirt Series and USAC .25 Dirt National Championship.
Clayton is looking forward to more success in 2023 by applying what he learned in the 22’ season and improving upon it. He will compete in the NASCAR Youth Series on dirt in Sr. Honda, Sr. Animal, Lt. 160 and will be adding Lt. World Formula as well as some asphalt races to the mix.
