Clayton Otteau Opens Season With Senior Animal Win At Keystone State Quarter Midget Race Club

SCHNECKSVILLE, Pa. — Clayton Otteau opened his season in strong fashion at Keystone State Quarter Midget Race Club, earning a feature victory, multiple fastest laps, and showcasing the new Friends of Jaclyn Foundation schemes across his race cars.

Otteau’s biggest highlight of the day came in the Senior Animal feature, where he started third, drove to the front, captured the win, and recorded the fastest lap of the race.

He also delivered a strong run in Senior Honda, advancing from fourth to third while once again posting the fastest lap.

The Formula feature brought one of the toughest fields of the day. Otteau started seventh and raced his way up to second before being involved in an incident that sent him to the rear of the field. Despite the setback, he battled back to finish eighth.

In Light 160, Otteau started seventh in another full 11-car field and worked his way up to third before getting shuffled back after a restart. He ultimately finished seventh after fighting a changing track surface and a gear choice that did not match the conditions.

“That’s racing,” Otteau said after the event. “It was a good start to the season. I was really happy to get the win in Senior Animal and have fastest lap in both Senior Animal and Senior Honda.”

Beyond the results, the weekend also marked an important moment for Otteau’s growing platform with the Friends of Jaclyn Foundation. FOJ is featured on all of Clayton’s cars, giving him the opportunity to use racing to raise awareness for children battling pediatric cancer.

Otteau’s new colorful FOJ schemes drew plenty of attention in the pit area, something the young driver was proud to showcase.

“I was happy to represent Friends of Jaclyn Foundation today in our new schemes,” Otteau added. “Racing has given me a platform to help raise awareness for kids battling pediatric cancer.”
